1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 f5 [GM Bent Larsen said the Philidor Countergambit had 4 refutations.] 4. Nc3 fxe4 5. Nxe4 d5 6. Nxe5 dxe4 7. Qh5 g6 8. Nxg6 Nf6 [On 8... hxg6 Josh can pick up the g-pawn then come back around for the rook - 8 Nxg6 hxg6 9 Qxg6+ Kd7 10 Qf5+ Ke8 11 Qe5+ other lines are worse] 9. Qe5 Kf7 10. Bc4 [More fun than just taking the rook with check because 10 Bc4 Kxg6 11 Qg5 is checkmate] 10... Kg7
11. Bh6!! [Why take the rook when you can keep throwing in horrendous bishop checks? 11 Bh6+!! Kg6 12 Qg5 is still checlmate.] 11... Kxh6 12. Nxh8! [Be coy like a woman and only do what you want when "forced" to at the last minute.] 12... Bb4 13. c3 Qxh8
14. h4!! [mate threat] 14... Qg7?? [Right square, wrong piece, babe. 14 ... Kg7 15 Qxc7+ Bd7 16 cxb is the best Black can do but I guess this guy didn't really know his own opening. You can play something bad as long as you know the refutations. Then you can laugh at what they're missing. So far Josh is just following Khalifman but now he is on his own. ] 15. Qf4 Kh5 16. Bf7 Qxf7 17. Qg5# [1:0]
